The Fire Incident Cost Code (FireCode) application generates standard fire incident management financial codes for fire incidents for all fire agencies. FireCode allows the wildland fire agencies to more accurately track the costs of wildfire suppression across multiple jurisdictions. All federal wildland fire suppression agencies (BLM, BIA, FWS, NPS, and USFS) utilize the FireCode application to generate the fire code project identifiers. FireCode was initiated in 2003 and is owned by the Assistant Director of Fire and Aviation.
