Government Description
Remedial action contract #2 at raymark superfund site in stratford, Connecticut. Includes remediation at operable units (OUS) 5 (SHORE ROAD) and 6 (morgan francis), involving excavation and offsite disposal of approximately 10,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil from OU5 (primarily pcbs, metals, and asbestos), and excavation of approximately 5,000 cubic yards of waste from an adjacent creek at OU6 with consolidation and construction of a Resource Conservation And Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste landfill CAP covering about 6 acres. The project includes site restoration, construction of supporting infrastructure such as storm-water basins, swales, gas vent systems, utility corridors, and access roads, as well as robust air monitoring, dust control, traffic management, and public safety measures.
