Government Description
Regional dredging - base year. Includes furnishing, transporting, and operating a cutterhead pipeline dredge with attendant plant for maintenance dredging in support of navigation on the Ohio river and its principal tributaries. Dredging and disposal of sediment material will occur in navigation channels, including depths up to 33 feet and currents up to 5 knots, with the contractor supplying necessary equipment such as spill barges, fuel flats, discharge pipeline, dredge tender vessels, and survey equipment. Annual dredging and disposal is estimated at 1,200,000 cubic yards of sediment material from the navigation channels.
