Government Description
ALUMINUM SULFATE (ALUM) AND POLYALUMINUM CHLORIDE (PACL) POLYALUMINUM HYDROXYCHLOROSULFATE PROVIDED. THIS WORK INVOLVES FURNISHING AND DELIVERING ALUM AND PACL TO THE WASHINGTON AQUEDUCT'S DALECARLIA AND MCMILLAN WATER TREATMENT PLANTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANSI/AWWA AND NSF/ANSI STANDARDS. ALUM MUST MEET ANSI/AWWA STANDARD B403 AND NSF/ANSI STANDARD 60, WHILE PACL MUST MEET ANSI/AWWA STANDARD B408 AND NSF/ANSI STANDARD 60. PACL IS SPECIFICALLY USED AT THE MCMILLAN WATER TREATMENT PLANT.
