Government Description
Cat earthmoving SLEP is for the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) of caterpillar earthmoving and compaction equipment. The contractor will perform SLEP work on approximately 240 government-furnished vehicles, including various models of vibratory rollers, high speed compactors, dual steel wheel rollers, dozers, graders, loaders, scrapers, and a water distributor. The SLEP effort consists of core tasks common to each vehicle and additional work unique to each vehicle's condition, as well as technology insertion such as electric-hydraulic conversion of certain dozer models, modifications for blade levelling devices, application of emerging maintenance work orders (MWOS) and engineering change proposals (ECPS), and annual warehousing for kitting to support regional dealerships.
