Government Description
FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING & SUPPORT IS PROVIDED FOR THE DEFENSE LANGUAGE INSTITUTE FOREIGN LANGUAGE CENTER (DLIFLC) THROUGH DLI-WASHINGTON UNDER THE CONTRACT FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING PROGRAM (CFLTP). THE CONTRACTOR DELIVERS FOREIGN LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR A STUDENT BODY PRIMARILY COMPOSED OF NON-COMMISSIONED AND COMMISSIONED OFFICERS, WITH RESIDENT INSTRUCTION FOR 200-400 STUDENTS AT A TIME AND 400-500 ANNUALLY IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (NCR). THE CONTRACTOR ALSO SUPPORTS NON-RESIDENT INSTRUCTION VIA MOBILE TRAINING TEAMS (MTT) AT USG FACILITIES OR OVERSEAS, DEVELOPS CURRICULUM AND ASSESSMENT TOOLS, EMPLOYS PROFICIENCY-ORIENTED INSTRUCTIONAL METHODOLOGIES TAILORED TO ADULT LEARNERS, IMPLEMENTS A QUALITY CONTROL PLAN (QCP), AND PROVIDES MONTHLY PROGRESS REPORTS ON STUDENT PERFORMANCE. INSTRUCTIONAL COURSES RANGE FROM 10-WEEK FAMILIARIZATION TO 26-64 WEEK BASIC COURSES, WITH APPROXIMATELY 275–300 TASK ORDERS AWARDED ANNUALLY FOR ALL LANGUAGES.
