MATERIAL/PARTS FOR ALL 228 MEDICAL TREATMENT FACILITIES. SUPPORTS THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF MEDICAL DEVICES EQUIPMENT/SYSTEMS (MDE/S), INCLUDING DIAGNOSTIC, TREATMENT, LIFE SUPPORT, MONITORING, LABORATORY, THERAPEUTIC EQUIPMENT, AND ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE, AT ARMY, AIR FORCE, AND NAVY MEDICAL TREATMENT FACILITIES. SERVICES INCLUDE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF DEVICES USED IN MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS, THERAPY, TREATMENT OF INJURY OR DISEASE, DENTAL, AEROMEDICAL EVACUATION, HOME STATION MEDICAL RESPONSE, AND VETERINARY ITEMS, AS WELL AS EMERGENCY REPAIRS AND STERILIZATION EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE. THE WORK ENCOMPASSES SUPPORT FOR COMMERCIAL OFF-THE-SHELF (COTS) EQUIPMENT AND FDA-APPROVED DEVICE SYSTEMS, ENSURING OPERATIONAL READINESS FOR MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS AND BENEFICIARIES.
