Government Description
MEDIUM EQUIPMENT TRAILER (MET) IS A SEMITRAILER CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING COMBAT VEHICLES WEIGHING UP TO 60 TONS, OBTAINING EUROPEAN HIGHWAY ROAD NETWORK ACCESSIBILITY (RNA) WITH PAYLOADS UP TO 45 TONS, AND NEGOTIATING UNDER FOUR METER OVERPASSES. THE MET'S PRIMARY MISSION IS TO LOAD, SECURE, AND TRANSPORT BRADLEY FIGHTING VEHICLES (BFV), ARMORED MULTI-PURPOSE VEHICLES (AMPV), PALADIN, AND FIELD ARTILLERY AMMUNITION SUPPORT VEHICLES (FAASV), AND IS INTEROPERABLE WITH THE ENHANCED HEAVY EQUIPMENT TRANSPORTER SYSTEM (EHETS) M1300 PRIME MOVER. WORK PERFORMED INCLUDES MANUFACTURING AND DELIVERY OF METS, CONDUCTING PROGRAMMATIC MEETINGS, DEVELOPING LOGISTICS PRODUCTS, PROVIDING TECHNICAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (FSR) SUPPORT FOR PRODUCT QUALIFICATION TESTING (PQT), OPERATIONAL TESTING (OT), AND LOGISTICS PRODUCTS DEVELOPMENT, AND ADMINISTERING CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS.
