Government Description
Army watercraft systems technical support provides engineering and safety analysis, design support, technical support, Configuration Management (CM), maintenance engineering, quality assurance, integrated logistics support, maintenance and alterations installation, program management, new equipment training, milestone documentation, obsolescence management, and performance-based logistics for Army Watercraft Systems (AWS) within CONUS and OCONUS. Work performed includes bow ramp hook fabrication/prototype and improved securing mechanism design for LCU-2000 class vessels, cooling tower and engine integration at the dmets facility, ngn and ahd upgrades on lcu vessels, programmable logic control trainer installation and training, onsite technical support for power management platforms, gap analysis of abs hsnc rules, and support for occm and slep efforts including engineering, logistics, and program management. The contractor also provides full-time test support engineers and liaisons at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), as well as support for lifting sling system design for the ST900 vessel.
