Sep 2014: Maersk Line Ltd., Norfolk, Virginia, was awarded a $10,610,996 modification (0001) to cost-plus-fixed-fee contract W52P1J-14-G-0023 for maintenance of the storage environment for all watercraft (including supply operations), watercraft care of supplies in storage maintenance, and preparation of watercraft for activation/exercises at Watercraft Equipment Base-Yokohama North Dock, Yokohama, Japan. Specific tasks to be performed include: base support activities, preservation of watercraft for long-term storage, inspection and correction of faults on vessels prior to completion of on condition cyclic maintenance, schedule maintenance, and support over and above 30/40/50 level fault repair. Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $10,610,996 were obligated at the time of the award. Estimated completion date is Aug. 27, 2015. Work will be performed in Japan. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, is the contracting activity.
