Overview
Government Description
Radiographers provide services to perform radiographic inspections as part of the Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD) radiographic inspection mission, which is integral to its munitions maintenance mission. The work primarily involves inspecting munitions and requires a team of radiographers to keep pace with the main production line. Tasks include delivering weekly and on-request planning reports, conducting 200% inspection of radiographs, demonstrating and discussing radiographer theory and methods, participating in the development of custom inspection techniques for new mission requirements, and supporting process leaning and 6S projects. Radiographers also adhere to BGAD safety requirements, utilize appropriate personal safety equipment, observe OSHA regulations, and comply with Department of Defense instruction.
