Government Description
DU penetrators. This award is for the production and delivery of Depleted Uranium (DU) penetrators, a critical component in the 120MM Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot with Tracer (APFSDS-T) M829A4 cartridge. Aerojet Ordnance Tennessee (AOT) will manufacture new DU penetrators and rework Government-Furnished Material (GFM) DU penetrators, including penetrators and noses, as well as complete SETS, in support of Army requirements and potential Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) tasks are also included under delivery orders.
