Government Description
HEAVY EQUIPMENT PROGRAM IST PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR THE ACQUISITION AND DEPLOYMENT OF HEAVY EQUIPMENT. WORK PERFORMED INCLUDES THE PROVISION OF VARIOUS TYPES AND CAPACITIES OF FORKLIFTS, LOADERS, AND CONTAINER HANDLERS, INCLUDING ROUGH TERRAIN AND DIESEL MODELS RANGING FROM 4K TO 50K CAPACITY. THIS INCLUDES EQUIPMENT SUCH AS 10K, 12K, 16K, 20K, 22K, 25K, 33K, AND 50K FORKLIFTS, AS WELL AS SPECIALIZED ROUGH TERRAIN AND SHIPBOARD UNITS. THE PROGRAM ALSO COVERS CARGO HANDLERS AND OTHER HEAVY EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR MATERIAL HANDLING OPERATIONS.
