Government Description
TURBINE FUEL, AVIATION, JA1 (JET A-1) IS SUPPLIED UNDER THIS AWARD. THE FUEL DELIVERED MUST CONFORM TO ALL IN-COUNTRY ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS AT THE RECEIVING LOCATION AND MEET THE MOST RECENT VERSION OF ASTM D1655, WITH ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR EUROPEAN, MIDDLE EASTERN, AND ASIAN LOCATIONS PER DEFENCE STANDARD 91-091. ADDITIVES MAY INCLUDE FUEL SYSTEM ICING INHIBITOR (FSII), CORROSION INHIBITOR/LUBRICITY IMPROVER (CI/LI), STATIC DISSIPATER ADDITIVE (SDA), AND, WITH PRIOR APPROVAL, METAL DEACTIVATOR (MDA), EACH CONFORMING TO RELEVANT SPECIFICATIONS. SYNTHETIC BLEND COMPONENTS AND CO-HYDROPROCESSED SYNTHESIZED KEROSENE ARE PERMITTED ONLY IF APPROVED UNDER ASTM D7566, MIL-DTL-83133, MIL-DTL-5624, AND ASTM D1655, WITH NOTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED.
