Government Description
DOMAIN REFINED GRAIN ORIENTED ELECTRIC STEEL (DR-GOES) IS PROCURED FOR USE AS CORE MATERIAL IN POWER TRANSFORMERS. THE CONTRACTOR WILL SUPPLY UP TO 107,050,269 POUNDS OF DR-GOES IN VERY THIN SHEETS, ROLLED INTO COILS NOT EXCEEDING APPROXIMATELY 12,000 POUNDS, FULLY TESTED PER THE CONTRACTOR’S SAMPLING PLAN, PALLETIZED, AND PACKAGED TO PREVENT ENVIRONMENTAL OR HANDLING DAMAGE. ALL MATERIAL WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE GOVERNMENT STORAGE DEPOT IN HAMMOND, INDIANA AND STORED FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD, REQUIRING PACKAGING SUITABLE FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE.
