Tantalum ingots are procured as a shelf-stable form of tantalum that can be readily transformed into forms needed by the Department of Defense (DOD) and utilized in defense systems. The work involves sourcing, packaging, and delivering up to 535,440.23 pounds of astm B364-18 type R05200 compliant tantalum ingots to the DLA strategic materials scotia depot in New York over a five-year period. The ingots are also intended for use in research and development applications at government-funded research centers and for addition to the National Defense Stockpile (NDS).
