Government Description
The award covers the removal, transportation, and disposal of Resource Conservation And Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous wastes, non-RCRA wastes, state-regulated wastes, non-state regulated wastes, universal wastes, compressed gases, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBS), and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) located on or around military installations in the camp pendleton, CA region or within a 50-MILE radius of any pickup location listed in the contract. The contractor services 64 areas with seven to nine individual sites per area, performing container pickup operations that typically require a three-person team (project manager, technician, driver) and 6-7 hours per day throughout the work week. Bulk liquid waste pickups are conducted at seven locations, and over 30 roll-off bins are maintained on-site, with empty bin replacement required upon removal of full bins. The contractor is also responsible for supplying defoamer for afff pumping (approximately 5-15 gallons per pickup), and must manage waste streams from multiple generators, each with unique profiles, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation in accordance with DOT and EPA regulations.
