Sep 2020:
Raytheon Co., Marlborough, Massachusetts, is awarded a $69,906,977 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract containing cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost reimbursement and firm-fixed-price provisions. This contract provides for test, inspection, evaluation and restoration of submarine components, known as Lowest Repairable Units. Work will be performed in Largo, Florida (75%); and Marlborough, Massachusetts (25%), and is expected to be completed in September 2025. Fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance (Navy) funding in the amount of $2,035,711 will be obligated on the first delivery order and expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1) - only one or limited number of sources and no other suppliers will satisfy the requirements. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Rhode Island, is the contracting activity (N66604-20-D-Q000).
