Government Description
Vpx chassis modernization. The contractor shall manufacture and deliver vpx chassis kits to support LHA6, LHD8, and LHA7 shipboard installation, addressing obsolescence issues in the lhd/a class Machinery Control Systems (MCS) by replacing legacy vme chassis with modernized vpx chassis. The vpx chassis will be installed within Data Acquisition Units (DAU), gas turbine workstations (GTWS), and diesel generator workstation (DGWS) enclosures, and must meet specified hardware requirements including dimensions, board capacity, construction materials, operating temperature, cooling design, and compatibility with Single Board Computer (SBC), network switch, and payload slots. This work ensures the MCS remains fully functional and capable of supporting fleet and lab operations.
