Feb 2016:
Cardno TEC-AECOM Atlantic JV, Charlottesville, Virginia, is being awarded maximum amount $50,000,000 for a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, architect-engineering contract for environmental planning and engineering services for National Environmental Policy Act and Executive Order 12114, Environmental Effects Abroad of Major Federal Actions–Ship Homeporting and Related Operational Issues. The work to be performed provides for the preparation of various documents to support the proposed infrastructure-related actions with respect to ship homeporting issues. Examples of taskings required to complete this work may include analysis of port facility and infrastructure construction, renovation, and/or demolition; dredging; base realignment and closure actions; and proposed operational actions related to ship homeporting and waterfront activities. The principle geographic area covered by this contract encompasses Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic's area of responsibility (AOR), and the adjacent waters of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, including the continental U.S., the Caribbean, Europe, and North Africa. Work will be primarily performed within NAVFAC Atlantic’s AOR, which includes, but is not limited to, Virginia (30 percent); California (30 percent); Florida (20 percent); and Washington (20 percent). Work may also be added and performed anywhere as required by the government. The term of the contract is not to exceed 60 months, with an expected completion date of February 2021. Fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount $10,000 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with three proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N62470-16-D-9002).
