Government Description
Primary training - rotary FY26-FY30. This award provides contractor operated primary flight training for designated rotary-wing Naval Flight Students (NFS) from Training Air Wing Five (TW-5) under the Contractor Operated Primary Training - Rotary (COPT-R) program. The contractor delivers instructor-led classroom and flight training to classes of 6-8 students, meeting FAA private pilot requirements (HELICOPTER) as outlined in cfr part 61.102 through 61.120, with an exception to 61.109(C)(4) regarding solo flight experience. Training is conducted under the contractor's 14 cfr part 141 and/or part 142 certification, with a curriculum specifying lesson topics, training days, flight events, and total course-hour length, in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
