Government Description
VLS base year effort. Provides management, technical support, labor, materials, equipment, and facilities necessary for the repair and refurbishment of MK-41 Vertical Launch Systems (VLS) on board U.S. Navy and other military vessels. Tasks include performing repairs as ordered, conducting inspections to determine repair options, submitting condition found reports (CFRS), implementing repairs after authorization, providing qualified personnel, conducting quality assurance inspections and certifications, maintaining communication with VLS subject matter experts (SMES), and providing weekly status reports. Work is primarily performed within a 50-MILE radius of Naval Station Norfolk, VA, but may also occur at other CONUS or OCONUS locations.
