Government Description
Regional refuse base year - recurring work. Work performed includes refuse collection, disposal, and recycling services at multiple Navy installations in the hampton roads area, including Naval Station Norfolk, joint expeditionary base little creek-fort story, norfolk naval shipyard, Naval Air Station Oceana, naval weapons station yorktown, cheatham annex, dam neck annex, craney island, fort story, fentress, and the armed forces staff college. Tasks include placement and rental of dumpsters, refuse container placement and disposal, scrap metal and bulky item waste collection, demolition debris disposal, recycling services, street sweeping, cleaning of grounds and streets, and disposal of industrial solid wastes, foreign port origin waste, sandblast waste, waste wood, and waste tires. Services also cover support for special events, such as airshows, and emergency response needs.
