Government Description
Stevedoring and related terminal services provided in okinawa, Japan. The contractor performs comprehensive S&rts at designated seaports, including naha military port, tengan pier, white beach naval base, aja commercial port, and U.S. Military installations, in connection with the import and export of Defense Transportation System (DTS) sponsored cargo. Services include handling all aspects of U.S. Military cargo such as containers, vehicles, breakbulk, and aircraft; performing vessel loading and discharging; cargo management activities like staging, intra-port transfers, preparation, tallying, checking, and warehousing; and operating 24/7 throughout the year, including holidays. The contractor also handles military vehicles up to 150,000 lbs., arms and ammunition, hazardous materials, sensitive items, refrigerated goods, and general DOD cargo, ensuring compliance with safety standards and obtaining necessary approvals from the Contracting Officer (CO) or their representatives.
