Government Description
Scientific, Technical, Administrative, And Logistical Support Services (STALSS) provided to enhance the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES), a tri-service organization supporting the Department of Defense (DOD) in human remains identification, forensic toxicology, and death investigations. Key tasks include support for forensic pathology investigations such as identifying decedents and determining cause and manner of death, assistance with DOD dna operations including dna typing services for human remains, and administrative support functions through s-staff in areas such as personnel management, operations/security, logistics, information management/it, and resource management. Additional work includes the development and implementation of a Quality Control Plan (QCP), preparation of a contingency operations plan for emergency support, and compliance with training requirements for contractor personnel including health screenings and immunizations.
