DOD Announcements

Jan 2016: United Concordia Companies Inc., of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was awarded an $11,010,000 fixed-unit price requirements contract to support the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) by providing comprehensive dental care services worldwide to eligible TRICARE beneficiaries.  This is a oneyear base transitionin period contract with five 12-month option periods and a 12-month phase-out period.  The geographic area of coverage for the continental U.S. includes the 50states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Outside the continental U.S. includes all other countries, island masses and territorial waters.  The base transition-in period of performance will be completed on Jan. 31, 2017.  The TDP contract also offers support to family members of Uniformed Service active-duty personnel, members of the Selected Reserve, Individual Ready Reserve, and their eligible family members.  This contract was a competitive acquisition with four offers received.  Fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $11,010,000 will be obligated at time of award.  The Defense Health Agency, Contract Operations Division, Aurora, Colorado, is the contracting activity (HT9402-16-D-0001).
