Government Description
Joint Urgent Operational Need (JUON) Air-To-Air (A2A) dual mode system. This effort focuses on the development, manufacturing, and delivery of a Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) weapon system that utilizes a long wave infrared (LWIR) seeker, a mid-body warhead with dual safe proximity fuze, and modified guidance sections to build prototype All Up Rounds (AUR). The system is designed for deployment from a variety of platforms, including helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, and includes maturing designs to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7 using production representative processes.

This contract provides for the development, manufacturing, and delivery of Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems weapon systems. Work will be performed at Hudson, New Hampshire. The ordering period is from Feb. 12, 2026, to Feb. 12, 2031, work is expected to be completed on the delivery order by July 31, 2027. This award is the result of a sole source acquisition due to Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source.
