Government Description
GTRI UARC. The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) conducts research, analysis, integration, systems engineering, development, and rapid delivery of weapon solutions for the Department of Defense to counter emerging national security threats. Includes advanced weapons modeling, simulation and analysis; collaborative autonomy for supersonic and swarming munitions; digital engineering for hypersonic systems; distributed radiofrequency sensing R&D; high temperature rf materials characterization; nuclear certification activity; position, navigation, and timing chain research; real-time multi-vehicle navigation; software-enabled weapons; swarming collaborative reconnaissance electronic effects munitions; and weapons enterprise test vehicle development.

Georgia Tech Applied Research Corp., Georgia Tech Research Institute, Atlanta, Georgia, has been awarded a $49,900,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for research, analysis, integration, systems engineering, development, flyable and non-flyable technology demonstrators, prototypes, test and evaluation, and rapid delivery of cutting-edge weapon solutions to the Department of Defense to counter emerging threats affecting national security. Work will be performed at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 9, 2026. This contract was a sole source acquisition. Fiscal 2021 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $250,000 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Research Laboratory, Eglin AFB, Florida, is the contracting activity (FA8651-21-D-0016).
