May 2022: Cubic Defense Applications Inc., San Diego, California, has been awarded an estimated maximum $90,600,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the P5 Combat Training System (P5CTS) Security Update (SSU). The SSU is a Type 1 encryptor and provides a National Security Agency-certified control interface that enables or restricts the access or transfer of information between security domains on the P5CTS. Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2028. This contract includes 10 percent Foreign Military Sales to Qatar and other classified customers. U.S. Air Force operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $8,909,438 are being obligated at the time of award for the first task order. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8210-22-D-0002).
