Government Description
Operations And Maintenance (O&M), it security support, product improvement, and communications services provided for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) at silver spring, Maryland. Includes geographically diverse circuit provisioning, hardware modifications, software development support, license renewals, identity management system implementation, network architecture engineering, site surveys, relocation and restoration of facilities, virtualization and cloud support, and implementation of backup and disaster recovery solutions for AWIPS. Additional tasks involve broadcast network communications, workstation replacements, remote desktop functionality, and support for specialized operations such as the tsunami warning center and river forecast centers. The contract also covers training, documentation, and remote support for AWIPS infrastructure and systems.
