Government Description
NASA agency and cape canaveral Air Force station environmental and medical contract (NEMCON). The contract provides environmental management, environmental health, and medical services to NASA, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), NASA headquarters (HQ), other NASA centers, and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), as well as support for the 45TH space wing and patrick Air Force base. Includes environmental compliance support, hazardous material spill response, hazardous and controlled waste management, ecological monitoring, industrial hygiene, health physics, public health, aerospace medicine, occupational health, operation of onsite clinics, medical certifications, employee assistance, health education, wellness services, and emergency medical services. Additional tasks include environmental baseline surveys, due diligence for easements and facilities, wildlife monitoring and relocation, shoreline protection, archaeological and cultural resource assessments, water sampling, hazardous waste management, support for special missions and agencies (such as the department of state, naval ordnance test unit, Air Force technical applications center, and office of space launch), and support for occupational health, fitness, wellness, and employee assistance programs at various NASA locations.
