Government Description
Spaceflight demonstration of a Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) contract. Work performed includes controllability analysis supporting gateway configurations for lunar landing, high power electric propulsion string preliminary design and risk mitigation, post-gateway launch flight operations support, preliminary and interim design reviews, safety reviews, and Independent Verification And Validation (IV&V) activities. Additional tasks involve Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) of bi-propellant and xenon tanks, structural and mechanical design changes, dynamic environment testing, and battery discharge evaluations for the PPE. The contract also supports requirement assessments, workshops, and technical studies related to the gateway program.
