Government Description
Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide animal husbandry services and vivarium management for cber, cder, and cdrh with a 5 year ordering period. The contractor manages animal-based research at building 10 (52/72) vivarium of the federal research center in silver spring, MD, including housing and care of laboratory animals such as mice, rats, hamsters, Guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, voles, gerbils, swine, non-human primates, and frogs in an environmentally controlled facility utilizing a single corridor system. Responsibilities also include management of eight laboratory animal biosafety level three (ABSL-3) room suites capable of BSL2 practices, veterinary technical support, and temporary care and housing for research studies. Provides ongoing animal care and vivarium management for the White Oak Animal Program (WOAP).
