Government Description
Transportation and logistic readiness services provided to support the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) by delivering transportation bulk freight services 24/7/365 to transport SNS assets throughout the 50 United States, U.S. Territories, and international interests during national emergencies or crises. Includes rapid deployment of ground and air cargo assets within 120 minutes of notification, planning and executing freight movements to multiple locations, and providing in-transit visibility for tracking commodities. Additional tasks involve participating in exercises or drills with SNS logistics operations, supplying ground support equipment and air cargo support, booking air cargo, identifying key personnel or on-call contacts for transportation requests, and deploying trucks to pick-up locations as needed. Services are performed in locations including seattle, Washington; miami, Florida; salt lake city, Utah; and atlanta, Georgia.
