Government Description
Transportation and logistic readiness services provided to support the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) by delivering transportation bulk freight services 24/7/365 for SNS assets throughout the 50 United States, U.S. Territories, and international interests during national emergencies or crises. Includes rapid deployment of ground and air cargo assets within 120 minutes of a no-notice event, planning and executing ground and air freight to multiple locations, and ensuring in-transit visibility to track commodities. Additional tasks involve participating in exercises or drills with SNS logistics operations, providing ground support equipment and air cargo support, booking air cargo, identifying key personnel or on-call contacts for transportation requests, and deploying trucks to pick-up locations during events. Services are performed in locations including seattle, Washington; miami, Florida; salt lake city, Utah; and atlanta, Georgia.
