Overview
Government Description
Ultrasonic side scanning services provided for USCG vessels. The contractor performs side scan ultrasonic testing of underwater hulls, freeboard plating, decks, tanks, and other areas to detect metal corrosion and deterioration using scanning crawler automated tests and hand held Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) readings for verification. Services are performed on a variety of vessel types, including barque eagle, medium endurance cutters, seagoing buoy tenders, fast response cutters, ICE breakers, patrol boats, and tenders/barges. After inspections, the contractor submits final written reports with marked repair areas and electronic data within three working days.
