Overview

Government Description
Contract Security Officer (CSO) services for western service area. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires CSO services to increase physical security and safeguard FAA employees, facilities, and U.S. Government property and assets from loss, theft, damage, unauthorized use, criminal acts, espionage, sabotage, and terrorism. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, training, and management necessary for CSO services, including conducting visitor and vehicle control and screening, monitoring facility cameras and alarms, performing magnetometer and x-ray screenings, implementing scheduling and personnel control procedures, maintaining records of individual csos, conducting roving patrols, managing access control, screening mail and packages, issuing visitor badges, responding to emergencies, conducting inspections of buildings and grounds, providing reports on security-related incidents, and ensuring all personnel meet qualifications including medical standards and background checks. The contractor must also develop a Security Officer Manual (SOM) detailing responsibilities, conduct standards, training requirements, and emergency procedures.
