Government Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) engine generator program has a requirement to maintain backup power for National Airspace System (NAS) facilities. In fulfillment of these duties, the FAA requires a supplier to manufacture, maintain, and provide Engine Generator Systems (EGS), including equipment such as engine generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), day tanks, mufflers, silencers, and annunciators for various Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCT) and facilities nationwide. The work includes life cycle in-service support, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Contractor Depot Logistics Support (CDLS), program management, and technical advisor services. Additional tasks involve procurement, delivery, start-up, transportation, and staging of EGS and ancillary equipment, as well as support for special applications and depot logistics.
