Government Description
AJ15- RTP on-site research laboratory support contract. This contract provides broad research laboratory support services for the EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD) at Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC, including general facility project management, laboratory research activities, equipment maintenance, technical sampling and monitoring, analytical chemistry and microbiology, instrumentation and electronics support, and off-site research. Work performed includes specialized support for studies on volatile and semivolatile organic gases, PM2.5, biomass combustion emissions, mobile source emissions, ambient air monitoring during biomass burning events, wind tunnel pollutant dispersion studies, maintenance and modernization of research assets, soil bioavailability, atmospheric chemistry investigations, animal carcass disposal, fate and transport of organic chemicals indoors, machine fabrication and electronics, metrology calibration, next generation emission monitoring, oaqps metrology support, reference and equivalent methods designation, microbiology technical support for hsmmd, source emissions methods development, and technology testing of portable multi-gas detectors. These services support EPA’s mission in environmental protection, air quality research, and public health.
