Government Description
Region III Emergency and Rapid Response Services (ERRS) provides emergency and rapid response services for environmental incidents in EPA region III. Work performed includes mitigation, cleanup, and disposal of hazardous materials, as well as the implementation of selected remedies such as installing vapor mitigation systems and excavating and disposing of contaminated soils. Tasks have addressed oil spills, chemical discharges, landfill and groundwater site remediation, and response to hazardous material releases at various locations. Activities also include conducting drills and exercises to support emergency preparedness.
