Government Description
Antarctic science and engineering support contract. The contractor will manage, operate, protect, maintain, and enhance the United States Antarctic Program’s (USAP) ability to support scientific research and logistics in antarctica. Tasks include providing laboratory services and science implementation support, station services such as food, communications, housing, and emergency response, implementing nsf-compliant waste management, managing field support services including vehicle maintenance and technical support, ensuring safety and security in accordance with the polar code of conduct, developing innovative operational approaches, and conducting training on safety and environmental conservation for USAP participants. Work will be performed at locations including the continental United States, New Zealand, antarctica (mcmurdo station, palmer station, south pole station), and field sites across the continent.
