Government Description
PHARMACEUTICAL PRIME VENDOR CONTRACT (PPV). THIS CONTRACT PROVIDES FOR THE PROCUREMENT AND DELIVERY OF A WIDE RANGE OF MEDICATIONS, INCLUDING CONTROLLED AND NON-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, HIV MEDICATIONS, MEDICATIONS FOR MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT (MAT) AND OPIOID USE DISORDER (OUD), AND GENERAL PHARMACEUTICALS FOR INMATE, PATIENT, AND INSTITUTIONAL USE. INCLUDES THE SUPPLY OF PHARMACEUTICALS AND RELATED MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO FEDERAL FACILITIES, SUCH AS CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND HEALTH SERVICE UNITS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH VA CONTRACT 36W79720D0001 AND INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT (IAA) 943. THE CONTRACT COVERS ROUTINE, SPECIALTY, AND EMERGENCY MEDICATION NEEDS, WITH DELIVERIES MANAGED TO ENSURE SECURITY AND PROPER HANDLING BY HEALTH SERVICES STAFF.
