SPECIALIZED REFERENCE LABORATORY TESTING FOR VA PUGET SOUND HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. PROVIDES SPECIALIZED LABORATORY TESTING SERVICES FOR CLINICAL PURPOSES TO DETERMINE ILLNESS AND/OR DISEASE IN VETERAN PATIENTS, INCLUDING RAPID TURNAROUND TIMES FOR RESULTS AND SAME-DAY REPORTING OF COMPLETED TESTS. SPECIMENS ARE PROCESSED ACCORDING TO REQUIRED STORAGE TEMPERATURES, LOGGED WITHIN 24 HOURS, AND CRITICAL VALUES ARE REPORTED WITHIN ONE HOUR. SERVICES ALSO INCLUDE AUTOPSY TESTING AS NEEDED, DAILY COURIER SPECIMEN PICKUPS, AND COMPLIANCE WITH ALL LICENSING, ACCREDITATION, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.
