Government Description
Pharmacy medication repackaging and dispensing services provided to support the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (SLCHCS) and Utah state veterans homes. The contractor supplies emergency medications within 4 hours for eligible veterans, repackages bulk medications from the VA SLCHCS outpatient pharmacy into individual patient supplies for delivery within 24 hours, and ensures all dispensing and repackaging pharmacies are owned and operated by the contractor. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate prescription and billing records, notifying the VA chief of pharmacy of malpractice claims or significant drug interactions/adverse reactions, and providing monthly itemized invoices detailing medication supplies per eligible veteran patient.
