Slc off-site veteran lodging. The contractor acts as a broker to locate hotel or lodging facilities that meet or exceed specified requirements for veterans traveling long distances for healthcare at the VA salt lake city health care system (SLCVAHCS). Responsibilities include finding alternative lodging if the original facility is unavailable, serving as the single point of contact for issues between the hotel and the medical center, monitoring hotels for compliance with safety and health regulations, and ensuring a minimum of 35 rooms per day (including 5 ada-compliant rooms) are reserved within 10 miles of the medical center. Rooms must be non-smoking, fully furnished, available sunday through friday with checkout on saturday, and charged at contracted rates without blackout dates or seasonal rate changes.
