PROVIDES A RANGE OF DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT (DME) AND HOME MEDICAL EQUIPMENT/ACCESSORIES (HME), SUCH AS HOSPITAL BEDS, MOBILITY AIDS, BATHROOM EQUIPMENT, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL UNITS, TO ELIGIBLE VETERANS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS. SERVICES INCLUDE DELIVERY, PICK-UP, STORAGE, SET-UP, ASSEMBLY, DISASSEMBLY, SANITIZING, REPAIR, MAINTENANCE, AND REFURBISHING OF VA-OWNED DME/HME, AS WELL AS EMERGENCY SETUP AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE JOINT COMMISSION STANDARDS. WORK IS PERFORMED PRIMARILY AT THE SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA VETERANS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND VARIOUS COMMUNITY BASED OUTPATIENT CLINICS (CBOCS) ACROSS LOUISIANA.
