Government Description
GROUND AMBULANCE SERVICES PROVIDED FOR THE KANSAS CITY VA MEDICAL CENTER, INCLUDING BOTH EMERGENCY AND NON-EMERGENCY STRETCHER TRANSPORTS. THE CONTRACTOR SUPPLIES ALL NECESSARY VEHICLES, PERSONNEL, MANAGEMENT, EQUIPMENT, AND REPORTING FOR AMBULANCE OPERATIONS, COVERING BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS), ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (ALS), AND CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT (CCT) SERVICES. QUALIFIED PERSONNEL SUCH AS EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS (EMTS) AND CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT PARAMEDICS (CCTPS) PERFORM THESE SERVICES, WHICH ALSO INCLUDE TRANSPORTING PATIENT LUGGAGE AND MEDICAL RECORDS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. ALL WORK IS PERFORMED IN COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL REGULATIONS, AND UTILIZES VETRIDE OR VA-APPROVED TRANSPORTATION SOFTWARE FOR MANAGING REQUESTS.
