Reference lab testing. Provides comprehensive reference laboratory testing services for the Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), including specimen preparation and storage, transportation of clinical laboratory specimens and microbiology cultures, analytical testing as defined by the contractor's reference test manual, and reporting of results within required timeframes. Services also include supplying specimen collection materials, assisting with specimen preparation for histopathology and surgical pathology, maintaining chain-of-custody for medico legal specimens, providing two full-time specimen processing technicians on-site, and offering 24/7 toll-free customer service and consultative support. The contractor supports a full range of clinical and anatomic pathology diagnostic testing, manages electronic data interfaces with FHCC systems (including vista, chcs, and cerner), and ensures compliance with all regulatory, quality assurance, and confidentiality requirements.
