Overview
Government Description
Provide emergency room physicians to work on-site at the memphis VA medical center. The requirement is for 6 ftes, with a minimum of 12 key personnel proposed, to deliver on-site emergency medicine physician services including evaluation, treatment, and management of a variety of medical conditions. Physicians must be board certified/board eligible in emergency medicine (abem, acep, or aobem), with board certified/eligible family practice or internal medicine physicians with at least three years of high-performance er experience considered at the discretion of the chief of department; abim and abfm board certified physicians with er experience may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Shifts include a variety of 10-HOUR schedules covering both main ed and fast track, with an annual ed volume of approximately 23,000 patients and providers expected to see 1-1.5 patients per hour in the acute side and 2 patients per hour in fast track.
