Molecular pathogen detection. Supports the provision of essential in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) testing and reagents to enhance patient care for veterans across various medical facilities within VISN 08. Includes supplying molecular pathogen detection reagents and leasing equipment capable of running multiplexed pcr-based IVD panels for gastrointestinal, meningitis/encephalitis, joint infection, pneumonia, blood culture identification, and respiratory pathogens. The equipment must meet or exceed specifications for the biomerieux biofire filmarray (FA) torch multiplex pcr system, with additional testing and sites possible based on veteran care needs.
